Welcome to my webpage

I am Associate Professor at Sorbonne University in Paris, France.

I am teaching both at graduate and undergraduate levels: scientific programming, aerodynamics, vortex dynamics, wind and marine energy.
I am in charge of two 2nd year Master programmes at Sorbonne University:
Modelisation and Simulation in Hydrodynamics, and Aerodynamics and Aeroacoustics.

My research activities are now conducted at Institut Jean le Rond ∂'Alembert in Paris.
I am doing numerical and theoretical investigations in the fields of vortex dynamics and hydrodynamic instabilities.

2025: Job offer

image of helical vortices A M2 internship position on the Instability of helical vortices, application to a turbine wake is open (5 months from March 2025).

Context

  • Vortices in the wake of rotors are helicoidal
  • Specific instabilities may develop

Internship: numerics

  • Follow the instability branches using an existing numerical tool
  • Implement full 3D simulations of the phenomenon on Basilisk
  • Compare instabilities of 1 vortex with 3 vortices + hub vortex

Possibility of pursuing a Ph. D. after the internship.

Please contact me for more informations.
