A striking feature of elastic buckling instabilities is the appearance of wrinkle patterns with a well-defined wavelength. Typically, the wavelength of the observed pattern in set by the material properties of the system. Dynamic buckling, that occurs in the blink of an eye, provides an alternative route to pattern selection. Here, I will present a experimental evidence of evolving wrinkle patterns in thin elastic sheets.
