Modeling and Numerical Simulation Methods for Multiphase Flow with Phase Change
Multiphase flows with phase change are common in both natural processes and industrial applications. A deeper understanding of the underlying mass and heat transfer is beneficial for advancing related technologies. This talk will focus on the numerical simulation of phase change flows, introducing advanced models and numerical methods for simulating both compressible and incompressible multiphase flows with phase change. The numerical issues related to efficiency, stability, and accuracy in high-fidelity simulations of phase change flows will be discussed. Moreover, the numerical study of two typical flow problems, shock-induced vaporization of droplets and nucleate boiling, will be introduced in detail.
